On behalf of IUFosT, it is a great privilege for us to host one of the most prestigious events of Food Science and Technology in the world, The "16^th World Congress of Food Science and Technology " of IUFoST, will be held for the first time in Latin America at “Foz do Iguaçu” (Iguazu Falls), Parana State, Brazil, August 5-9, 2012.

The event aims to provide opportunities for international cooperation, information exchange and discussion among food scientists and technologists around the world. The scientific program is strong and comprehensive, covering key issues in the field of Food Science and Technology.

Located in the extreme west of Parana State, “Foz do Iguaçu” is the most developed tourist and economic center of western Parana and it  is one of the most important Brazilian tourist destination. The stunning Iguazu Falls is among the seven wonders of nature. It has 275 cascades spanning over four kilometers, amidst lush vegetation.
